Filters and Partial Orders

چکیده
We discuss several abstract semantics for nonmonotonic logics. We present their motivations, their development and some historical origins, and show that the three systems considered are essentially

On Some Partial Orders Associated to Generic Initial Ideals
We study two partial orders on [x1, . . . , xn], the free abelian monoid on {x1, . . . , xn}. These partial orders, which we call the “strongly stable” and the “stable” partial order, are defined by the property that their filters are precisely the strongly stable and the stable monoid ideals. These ideals arise in the study of generic initial ideals.
متن کاملA Batch-wise ATP Procedure in Hybrid Make-to-Order/Make-to-Stock Manufacturing Environment
Satisfying customer demand necessitates manufacturers understanding the importance of Available-To-Promise (ATP). It directly links available resources to customer orders and has significant impact on overall performance of a supply chain. In this paper, an improvement of the batch-mode ATP function in which the partial fulfillment of the orders is available will be proposed. In other words, in...
متن کاملSelf-Adaptive Morphological Filter for Noise Reduction of Partial Discharge Signals
Partial Discharge assessment in the insulation of high voltage equipment is one of the most popular approaches for prevention of the insulation breakdown. In the procedure of thisassessment, noise reduction of partial discharge signals to get the original PD signal for accurate evaluation is inevitable. This denoising process shall be carried out such a way that the main features of the p...
متن کاملDiscovering general partial orders in event streams
Sequence of time-ordered events arise in a variety of applications like customer transaction databases, alarm sequences in telecommunication networks, fault logs in manufacturing plant data, web interaction logs, etc. A popular framework for temporal pattern extraction from such data is the frequent episode discovery paradigm. An episode is a set of nodes with a partial order prescribed on it, ...
متن کامل3 Finite - set signal processing
Because finite sets are not closed under the ordinary arithmetic operations of addition and multiplication, filters that map one sequence taking values in a finite set into another are necessarily nonlinear. This chapter considers the general problems of designing and characterizing these nonlinear filters and developing useful characterizations like power spectra for sequences taking values in...
